This protein mug cake recipe is my go to all year round. It taste amazing, its simple to make and it means I get to eat cake all year round, which lets be honest, is a dream come true.
The great thing about this recipe is you can have a different flavoured cake every time depending on what protein powder you use, so please, get creative!
25g oat flour
20g whey protein
1 whole egg
1/4 tsp baking powder
1 tbsp almond milk
Mix all the ingredients together and place in the microwave. Depending on the power of your microwave will determine how long your mug cake takes. The difference between a good mug cake and a dry mug cake can be as little as 10 seconds so watch it like a hawk. I recommend starting at 1 minute and put it in for 10 second intervals after that. Once its done, grab a spoon and tuck in!
